The Sunset Barber Shop has been at the same location on 9th Avenue for over 45 years.  The existing interior space was completely gutted and a new floor plan and walls were added. A new accessible Bathroom was added, and the shop was brought up to current accessibility standards.  The storefront was refurbished and a new awning was added.

 

The San Francisco Retail Project created a new, renovated space for a neighborhood icon.

The Retail space included 650 square feet of remodeled space.  The design challenge was to create a working and engaging retail space within an existing space only 10 feet in width.
