The Owner, which occupied one of the four units, wished to increase the size of one unit and add a Music Room.  The solution was to build below, in the existing Garage and connect with the unit above with a spiral staircase.  Difficult egress, life safety issues and requirements for habitable space were resolved and a total of 300 square feet was added to the completely remodeled Master Apartment Unit above. The 2nd phase of the project is to add an expansive new  Deck.

 

The San Francisco Apartment Remodel faced challenging obstacles for which creative problem solving was applied.

The San Francisco Apartment Remodel will create a much expanded Master Unit with access to a private expansive new Deck. A variance was sought and awarded for building in the Rear Yard.  The project is currently under construction.
