My Art springs from my imagination. Several things I believe in, several I don't. The pluralism offered up by Post Modernism can be a good thing. After going through a rigorous Bauhaus training, the idealism of Modernism can prove stultifying. Concomitantly, I just can't seem to shake the aesthetic notions Modernism has to offer.
My Art is about many things. Ultimately it is the pursuit of my creative imagination, and the effort to format it with reference to Art and process. It is an effort to create a dialogue and establish a narrative. It is about Modernism and my reaction to it. It is about Post modernism - and all the isms - and my reactions. It isn't about one thing, that's where Modernism failed. It isn't about just anything, that's where Post Modernism falls short.
In brief, this really is just the tip of the iceberg, (even though the icebergs are melting these days...) So much of Art is ineffable, and that's just the beauty of it.
